"I’ve got Teams, I love Teams, I just Wish the Call Plans were Not so expensive and the Reporting was better!".
Microsoft Teams is good in so many ways and is entrenched in so many companies, but it lacks desired functionality, including enterprise call handling, reporting and reliability.
The great news, and it is great news, is that in July RingCentral announced their integration with Microsoft Teams, meaning customers can now benefit from the best of both worlds; Team's familiarity, with all the enterprise cloud-centric functionality of RingCentral (call recording, call analytics and enterprise application Integration).
Users don't like change, but managers like advanced tools which deliver efficiencies, increase productivity and analyse performance.
The good news just keeps on coming...With the RingCentral integration the users need not retrain at all. The users continue using the same familiar Teams interface. The administrators of the UCaaS system will also be pleased, as they will manage all users and applications from one interface, which supports SSO (single sign-on). The reporting functionality is exceptional, meaning line managers receive all the data analytics they've always craved.
Security & Reliability
RingCentral comes with seven layers of enterprise-grade security and geo-redundant data centres around the globe (SSAE 18 and ISO 27001-audited). To prevent interception of communications, RingCentral provides Transport Layer Security (TLS) and Secure Real-Time Transport Protocol (SRTP) encryption between all endpoints. RingCentral employ the use of application firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), fraud analytics as well as running cyclical vulnerability scans.
RingCentral's 99.999 SLA is industry leading, so unwanted and unscheduled outages are greatly reduced.
The integrations do not stop at Teams. RingCentral unifies applications that are used every day. This integration eliminates the need to switch between different programs in order to message, call, or set up a meeting. RingCentral integrates with a large array of apps in the communication and collaboration space such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, Now, Google, Box, Oracle, and many others to insure high productivity and efficiency.
Whilst it can be seen as crass to describe any decision as a 'no-brainer', I can think of few reasons why companies which currently use Microsoft Teams, as the business VoIP platform, would not benefit from the RingCentral integration. It increases functionality, analytics, security, reliability and savings...that's 5 boxes that most company directors will want to tick!
